Edit an Asset
Objective: Gain an understanding of how to edit an Asset
After navigating to an existing Asset, the following screen is shown:
A number of menus are available for editing information stored against the current Asset record. For most types of Asset information, it can be edited by simply clicking the edit button. If the Asset has been disposed of and has a 'Disposed' status, editing will not be possible.
The different types of information can be edited and used in various ways. This table provides descriptions and links to the various menus.
Menu | Description |

Attributes |
Provides all core asset registry screens, including the Asset dashboard page, key engineering/register fields and the audit trail for the Asset. |
Assessments |
Provides high-level assessment attributes for the entire Asset. Detailed transactional assessments are carried out on Service Criteria (e.g. condition) at either a Component level or Simple Asset level. |
Maintenance |
Provides a summary of Work Orders / Work Requests that have been created for the Asset. |
Treatments |
A list of the Asset's treatments rolled up from its Components. |
Valuations
|
Provides all core Asset valuation data including insurance, renewal budget and valuation info. |
Accounting
|
Provides an aggregate view of Component-level accounting transactions and can also be used for Asset-level Historical Cost transactions. |
Documents |
Documents allow images, PDFs, CAD files, MS Office docs, etc to be attached against the Asset. |
Associations |
A list of the Asset's associations to other Assets in the system. |
Meters |
A list of the Asset's Meters. |
